Defendants committed unfair and deceptive acts and practices in violation of the CSPA by representing to consumers that the education, training, and/or schooling services provided had sponsorship, approval, performance characteristics, accessories, uses, or benefits that it did not have and by representing that the subject of a consumer transaction had been supplied in accordance with a previous representation. Defendants committed unconscionable acts and practices in violation of the CSPA by entering into consumer transaction while knowing that the consumers were unable to receive a substantial benefit from the subject of the transaction and by knowingly making misleading statements to consumers on which they relied to their detriment. Defendants ordered to pay $9,360.00 in consumer restitution, $75,000.00 in civil penalties, and $4,894.00 in investigatory costs.
