Defendants entered into consumer transactions at consumers' homes after engaging in personal solicitations of their services at the consumers' residences. Defendants violated HSSA and the CSPA by: 1) failing to provide consumers with a three day right to cancel the transaction, 2) failing to provide consumers with a written "notice of cancellation" in the form prescribed by R.C. 1345.23(B), 3) failing to honor consumers' valid notices of cancellation by failing to return within ten days all payments made under the contract. Defendants ordered to pay $87,328.00 in consumer restitution and $100,000.00 in civil penalties.
